The city is not made of stone. On the contrary; it is a complex organism teeming with life. The city is constantly in flux; growing, expanding and changing shape. Sometimes a piece dies off to make room for something new. It is a house with many doors with space to accommodate every size, no matter whether they come from near or far. It is the place to be; to earn a livelihood or to be a safe haven. Or to simply visit or even run away from. To grow up in and grow old in.
Rijnboutt clearly sees the city’s complexity and understands how everything that occurs within its boundaries influences its nature as a whole. That’s why Rijnboutt never just builds a building, but always creates a part of the city. With an eye to the past, as well as the future. Taking into consideration what has been and what is to come for everyone who will be there, stay and leave.
Rijnboutt listens, looks and asks the right questions until its crystal clear what the city needs. That’s why whatever Rijnboutt builds, it’s always an asset to the city and enhances the quality of life for all.
